The crew from Big Blu Hammers in Morganton, NC will be special demonstrators.

 

 

There will be tailgating and tool sales and demos, and of course we start and end the day by blowing the anvil.  Lunch is included --- cost is to bring something for the Iron in the Hat, and be prepared to support it. 

 
Arrangements have been made at the NEW Best Western Crossroads Inn & Suites in Louisa County (we're getting in the big time!) for a rate of $89.95 per night/ or $80.95 with AAA or AARP.  Call the motel directly at 540-832-1700 and identify yourself as part of the Blacksmith Pasture Party.  Motel address is 135 Wood Ridge Terrace, Gordonsville, VA 22942 - that's at Exit 136 off I-64 go toward Louisa to first LEFT and you'll see it.  Cut off for motel reservations is also Feb. 15.

Directions from the DC area:  Rt 495 to Rt 66 West, to Gainesville exit, Rt. 29 South, follow to second Culpepper exit, Rts 3 & 522. At end of ramp turn LEFT onto Rt 3, go to first light, turn RIGHT onto Rt 522, follow approx 35 miles to Stop sign at Mineral Fire House, turn RIGHT, go to Light turn LEFT, still on 522, go through Mineral to 1/2 mile past Texaco gas station, turn RIGHT onto Rt. 605, go approx 7 miles to West Old Mountain Road, turn RIGHT, go approx 2-1/2 miles to Parrish Road, turn LEFT, we are second drive on RIGHT
